Sub: NOTICE   INVITING   TENDER

Sealed Tender  is  invited  on behalf of the Director, TMC for carrying out the work mentioned below, which will be received upto 07.08.2008   in the office of the undersigned Tata Memorial Centre, Engineering Department, 6th floor, Service block Parel, Mumbai- 400 012,  Phone No. 24177000 – Extn 4692  for the said work, from eligible contractors   who have carried out the work of similar kind and magnitude.

EMD is required to be furnished in the name of Accounts Officer, TMC, along with the sealed tender  by way of Demand Draft / Pay Order / Cash.  If the contractor wishes to  deposit EMD  in cash he / she  should obtain a requisition from the engineering dept. and photocopy of the cash receipt to be attached in the tender. Tender which is incomplete or not accompanied by EMD  as specified, will not be considered.  Cheque will not be accepted as EMD.  Sale of tender from 31.07.08 to 06.08.2008.

Tender  to be submitted in a sealed cover superscribing the name   of work on the cover as given above so as to reach on or before 07.08.08  at 15.00 hrs to the undersigned and the technical bid  will be opened at 15.30 hrs on the same day in the presence of tenderer or their authorized representative, who would like to be present.

The rate shall be inclusive of all taxes, octroi, excise etc. in force and no extra will be paid over and above the quoted rates .  If rates are quoted net and M.W.C.T. has been shown separately, the same shall be reimbursed on production of proof of payment to the concerned authority only.

Income Tax at prevailing rates as may be notified by Ministry of Finance, Government of India will be recovered from the bill(s), certificate for the same will be issued by the Accounts Officer on request.

Any other taxes shall be deducted from your bills, as made applicable by the Govt. / Statutory authorities from time to time.

10% of the total value of work will be deducted from the bill (s) towards Security Deposit   which shall be released on the expiry of defects liability period as per rules. 

The entire work is to be completed in eight (8) weeks  in  accordance with the time schedule  unless otherwise stated  .

Tender shall be valid for 90 ( ninety ) days.

Canvassing in connection with tender / quotation is strictly prohibited.

The Director, TMC, reserves the right to reject any or all the tenders / quotations or allot part of the work to different agencies without assigning any reason thereto.
