Sealed Tenders in single bid are invited in two bids Part I Technical Bid & Part II Financial Bid on behalf of the Director , TMC for carrying out the work mentioned below, which will be received upto 04.07.2008 in the office of the undersigned Tata Memorial Centre, Engineering Department, 6th floor, Service block Parel, Mumbai- 400 012, Phone No. 24177000 – Extn 4692 for the said work, from eligible contractors who have carried out the work of similar kind and magnitude.

EMD is required to be furnished in the name of Accounts Officer, TMC, along with Technical Bid i.e. Part 'A' by way of Demand Draft / Pay Order / Cash. If the contractor wishes to deposit EMD in cash he / she should obtain a requisition from the engineering dept. and photocopy of the cash receipt to be attached in the tender. Tender which is incomplete or not accompanied by EMD as specified, will not be considered. Cheque will not be accepted as EMD. Sale of tender from 19.06.08 to 03.07.08 between 10.00 hrs & 16.00 hrs (excluding Saturday, Sunday & holidays)
Tender to be submitted in a sealed cover superscribing the name of work on the cover as given above so as to reach on or before 04.07.08 at 15.00 hrs to the undersigned and the Technical bid will be opened at 15.30 hrs on the same day in the presence of tenderers or their authorized representative, who would like to be present.
Financial Bid of technically qualified agencies will be opened on a later date which will be intimated separately.
The rate shall be inclusive of all taxes, octroi, excise etc. in force and no extra will be paid over and above the quoted rates. If rates are quoted net and M.W.C.T. has been shown separately, the same shall be reimbursed on production of proof of payment to the concerned authority only.
Income Tax at prevailing rates as may be notified by Ministry of Finance, Government of India will be recovered from the bill(s), certificate for the same will be issued by the Accounts Officer on request.
Any other taxes shall be deducted from your bills, as made applicable by the Govt. / Statutory authorities from time to time.
Performance Bank Guarantee to be submitted for Rs.60,000/- (SIXTY THOUSAND ONLY)
The entire work is to be completed in accordance with the time schedule unless otherwise stated .
Tender documents for the above works can be had from the Engineering Dept. on any working between 10.00 hrs and 16.00 hrs on the dates and on payment as mentioned above per set in cash (non refundable) on production of (a) proof of registration in appropriate class of contractors. (b) Bank Solvency certificate of Rs.7.5 lakhs (c) Annual turn over of minimum of Rs.5.5 lakhs certified by chartered accountant for the last five years (d) List of works carried out during last 3 years (e) List of Technical staff they possess. In addition, list showing the cost of work completed / in progress in the last 3 years , year wise shall also be produced for consideration for issue of tender papers. The tender document will not be sent by post.
Agency should have base in Mumbai for last five years having carried out similar works in Medical Gas Lines.

a) Regular man power
b) Regular Scheduled maintenance
Tender shall be valid for 90 ( ninety ) days.
Canvassing in connection with tender / quotation is strictly prohibited.
The Director, TMC, reserves the right to reject any or all the tenders / quotations or allot part of the work to different agencies without assigning any reason thereto.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS TO TENDERERS FOR
SUBMISSION OF TENDERS
Tenders are required to be submitted in two parts, sealed and superscribed on the envelopes the Name of work and Nature of the Bid – Technical / Financial
Enclosing the following requisites.

(1) Book containing Conditions of contract

(a)Annual Income Tax return filed with I.T. Department.
(b) Annual turn over of latest five year ending in March 2007 duly certified by Chartered Accountant.
3) List of relevant works carried during past 5
years with performance certificate, work order copies etc
(4) Registration certificate, Sales Tax certificates, if any.
(5) List of plant - Machinery &Technical Staff
(6) Earnest Money Deposit should be deposited at the time of opening Technical Bid in the form of Demand Draft, Pay order , F.D. receipt -of the State Bank of India or Scheduled bank in Favour of Accounts officer, TMC. Cheques and bank guarantees will not be accepted.
(7) Drawings if any

Tenders consisting of the above two envelopes will be received upto 15.00 hrs on 04.07.08 in the office of Chief Engineer, Engineering Dept. 6th Floor, Service Block, TMC.
All the submissions are to be signed and stamped on every page. Incomplete (in such respects) Tenders are liable for rejection. Only technical bid will be opened on 04.07.08 at 15.30 p.m. in the presence of tenderers present .
