The Department is affiliated to the Bombay University and is recognized by it for the postgraduate diploma (D.A.) and the degree courses (M.D.) in Anesthesia. Nine staff members are recognized postgraduate teachers for the above courses.

The Department also attracts qualified anesthetists who wish to undergo advanced training in various aspects of anesthetic practice.
